You get one free design, so give it a good photo. Most disappointing results we see trace back to one of these.
- Shoot in daylight or with every light on. Dark photos give muddy results.
- Stand in the doorway or a corner, phone horizontal, at eye level.
- Clutter is fine - the redesign replaces it - but move anything blocking a window.
- Keep at least one window or door in the frame. It anchors the room's shape.
- Upload the original photo, not a screenshot or a heavily filtered one.

Who makes this
Decoratly is built and run by Kamil Uhryn, a software developer, and has been live since November 2023. 25,000+ rooms have been redesigned with it. It is a web app, so there is nothing to download, and support answers within 24 hours.
What it can't do
- It shows how a room could look. It is not a floor plan or a measured drawing, so measure before you buy or build.
- It works from one photo. Anything the photo does not show is inferred, not known.
- AI images can get small details wrong. Results are checked automatically and you can run a design again.
